Sewing with Miss Dani: Zipper Pouches

Sewing with Miss Dani: Zipper Pouches In-Person

Participants in grades 4 - 12 will learn hand sewing and machine sewing techniques to make zipper pouches. We will design, draft, cut, and construct the pouches using beginner friendly sewing techniques. All materials are provided. No previous sewing experience is necessary. This is a multi-day project, therefore attendance at each session is highly encouraged. Additional projects will be available for those who finish their primary sewing mission early.

We are grateful to a group of local donors who gifted the youth program with brand new sewing machines for this program. Because we have a limited number of machines, we are currently only able to accomodate four participants. If you are able to bring your own sewing machine (with necessary bobbins, needles, and other tools) please indicate this on the registration form and it will open an additional slot for the program. Our goal is to teach as many youth as possible through this program.

At this time, all of the library's sewing machines are reserved for this program. If you have your own sewing machine, please add your name to the waitlist and space will be opened for you.
